All members of the Association have the opportunity to distinguish themselves through the display and judging of their work in all types of media. At the annual professional exhibition, BioImages, awards are given for excellence in photographic, electronic, print and other media. Superior performance in writing for the Journal of Biological Photography or lecturing at BIOCOMM are also recognized.

Each year, dozens of members return to their institutions with tangible evidence of superior performance as media experts - recognition which can be shown with pride to clients, administrators, and family.
