Meeting Highlights

Brilliance in Communications
Phoenix, AZ
June 1 – 4, 2011

The 2011 combined meeting with BCA, ABCD (Association of Biomedical Communications Directors) and HeSCA (Health and Science Communications Association) was another successful and enlightening event for the talented and ever changing world of visual communicators. We were fortunate to tap into the excellent facilities and resources at the University of Arizona's College of Medicine Phoenix campus.

Attendees enjoyed keynote speakers in photojournalism, emerging technologies, telemedicine, ethical issues and visualization of motion. Members from each association presented talks and workshops. There were plenty of networking opportunities at an auction, the honors banquet and local attractions around campus. The post meeting workshop sponsored by Nikon took advantage of the southwest location with photo shoots in slot canyons, scenic areas and several national parks.

The exchange of ideas, techniques, and business strategies is vital to our organizations staying current with new trends and technologies. Our annual meeting provided Attendees many opportunities to exchange ideas and talents and radiated the concept of brilliance in communications.
