BIOCOMM 2020 Meeting Program Well Underway
Connie Johansen, FBCA, Director of Conferences

Santa Fe Historic District © Tourism Santa Fe

The date has been set 19-23 May 2020. The venue has been chosen in downtown historical Santa Fe, New Mexico. The registration is set. Call for papers has gone out. The Maria Ikenberg-Linburg keynote speaker has been selected. Workshops are being developed.

We have listened to you and your feedback from BIOCOMM 2019, next year's BIOCOMM 2020 meeting program will be very different. We will have a greater focus on workshops so that you have the opportunity to develop your skills and take this back to the workplace or into your own photographic practice. Although you may work in one specific area, the workshops will be much broader. This allows for different ways of thinking and delivering you a much broader skillset that you can utilize across many different aspects of photography. With this in mind, we are developing a diverse program for you.

The abstracts for the academic program are flowing in. The cut-off is Friday, December 20 so if you would like to participate in the program, start working on your abstract now. We are aiming to have the full program published in early 2020.

If you have questions or need assistance with your abstract, please don't hesitate to contact the Director of Conferences Connie Johansen at conferences@bca.org. She is eager and willing to assist you. If you only have an idea not sure how to pursue it, Connie is there to help guide you. If you have any skills you like to share in a workshop, contact Connie.

Mid-May is a great time of year in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The weather is pleasant, the flowers are spectacularly in bloom, off-season rates are in effect, and the summer crowds have not yet arrived. Come and join with your colleagues and meet new members and meeting participants while enjoying this great environment.

Don't miss this meeting. It will be the most diverse workshop packed program we have had in 20 years!
