Medical Photographer
Gundersen Health System – Onalaska, WI

Photographs patients and families, often under difficult conditions, in a manner consistent with patient-centered care. Takes detailed pictures of such things as surgical procedures, specimen photography and legal cases involving trauma and abuse. Works with medical staff and residents to document images of patients for medical, legal and education purposes. Provides all types of ophthalmic imaging. Provides photographic services for staff professional portraits and special events occurring on and off campus. Provides photographic images for use in brochures and marketing campaigns.

Medical Science Photographer
Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center – Winston‑Salem, NC

Technician needed who is able to take quality photographs that will be used in presentations, lectures, publications, and research. Person will perform photography in the clinic and the operating room. Other duties will be to maintain department's image database, prepare images for publications (including copyrighting images), and assisting clinical studies staff in collecting data for ongoing clinical studies.

Undergraduate degree in biomedical communications or equivalent and three years of related photographic experience, or two year degree in the field plus substantial professional experience in biomedical photography.

IT Project Manager for Mass Digitization

This position is located in the Digitization Program Office (DPO) with the goal of creating a vibrant digitization culture at the Smithsonian, and focuses on increasing the quality and quantity of enterprise wide Smithsonian digital assets by supporting digitization projects. Multimedia Developer

The Multimedia Developer is responsible for developing animations, videos, presentations, graphics and other electronic media in collaboration with the Marketing Communications group to support company business objectives.

  • Develop multimedia assets to support marketing efforts.
  • Shooting and editing corporate videos for product training and promotional purposes
  • Developing 3D product renderings with photorealistic surfacing to be used in print, web, and video materials
  • Coordinating with external resources including voice talent, photographers, etc.

Biomedical Photographer (part time)
University of Massachusetts – Worcester, MA

We are seeking a technically oriented individual to take responsibility for day-to-day operation of our light microscopy imaging core facility on a part time basis. Current instruments include an OMX V4 super-resolution microscope, Nikon A1 confocal microscope, and custom built multiphoton microscope, an Olympus TIRF system, and a number of semi-automated bright field microscopes. Responsibilities include training new users, qualifying users to operate instruments independently, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting problems reported by users, performing repairs where possible (e.g. laser module replacement), and scheduling service/repairs with manufacturers as required. Extensive microscopy experience, while desirable, is not essential. Good computer skills, organizational skills, facility with one-on one training, and technical literacy and an interest in instrumentation are essential. A foundation in biology is a plus.
