Congratulations to all the BioImages Winners: Present and Past!

The BioImages Exhibition – originally called the Print Salon – was proposed by the Biological Photographic Association [founded in 1931] to engage new members. The first Salon was held in 1934 at the newly formed Association's annual meeting. Today the exhibition’s goals have not changed since those early beginnings. BioImages seeks to identify and showcase the best still and moving biological and medical images made from across the world each year.

Today, BioImages is the BioCommunications Association’s annual visual media competition and still showcases the finest still images, illustration and graphic media, as well as interactive and motion media work in the life sciences and medicine. To be included in BioImages, submissions are evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges for Intent, Design, Execution and Impact. The Exhibition has content selected from ten categories in three divisions. BioImages designates multiple awards in each category, as well as Special Merit Awards, Judges Choice Awards and a Best of Show.

All images in the Exhibition are owned by the maker. No images can be used or downloaded without the written consent of the maker. BCA does not own the copyright of this work nor can the Association grant rights. Thank you for respecting the intellectual property in these Exhibitions.
