This picture was made by Mark Bolster, the lead staff photographer UPMC (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center). It is an environmental portrait of Dr. Michael Magnetta, Radiology. UPMC uses 3D printing to help surgeons with difficult cases. By printing models using images from the Radiologists, surgeons can explore best techniques and instruments to use before starting actual surgery to yield in higher successful surgery outcomes.
