Cranioplasty using a Custom made PEEK

Nov 16, 2021

This procedure is a cranioplasty using a custom made PEEK (Polyetheretherketone). It is used to reconstruct full thickness skull defects in patients missing parts of the skull due to trauma or other reasons. The PEEK implant is an inert material, durable, and should have the same strength as the normal native skull. It is 3D printed and customized to each patient.
