This image features an ultraviolet fluorescing section of Gooseneck Loosexstrife (Lysimachia clethroides). The image was photographed in a dark room to eliminate any light not the result of fluorescence. The image depicts the curious characteristics of the flowers changing their fluorescent colours as they transition from new to old blossoms.
I performed this work largely out of curiosity and for further explorations of scientific-related imagery. The audience would be the general population with an interest in science and/or photography.
