Job Title: Medical Photographer
Description:
Expected Starting Salary Range: 26.42 - 32.71/hr
Fulltime - 40 hour per week
Hours: M-F 8am-4:30pm
Location: Main hospital campus, some travel to CCHMC facilities in the greater Cincinnati area may be required.
SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: To generate digital images of patients/conditions for use in patient care (including documentation within the medical record), research activities, and education (including publication in the medical literature, medical presentations, and other medical education projects) in collaboration with medical experts.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
·Medical/Scientific Photography
Present and available during clinic hours and inpatient consults to perform digital photography of patients as needed. Work within CCHMC resources to optimize computational performance of software and hardware. Coordinate incorporation of patient images into image database and into electronic medical record. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
·Project Management
Maintain an organized system of projects related to use of digital images in multimedia presentations. Coordinate with content experts (physicians, nurses, researchers) to develop and improve models. Collaborate with project teams to plan, analyze, organize, and execute assigned projects.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
  • Associates degree in related field. May require clinical license, certification/training
  • 3 years of work experience in a related job discipline
Preferred:
  • Bachelors degree in Biomedical Photographic Communications or Photographic Sciences
  • Total Body Photography Certification (TBP)
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Lightroom and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy
  • Expertise in professional grade digital photography, including special skills in medical photography.
