Broad-billed Humming birds, (Cyanthus Iatirostris) are jewels of the desert, with gorgeous irreverent greens and blues, and broad red beak for which they were named!

Purpose
I noticed these beautiful "Sonoran Jewels" in my backyard and have been photographing them for the last 4 or 5 years. Fortunately, Tucson is pretty much the northern most border of their habitat. For this composite, I tried to used images that showed off the beautiful iridescent colors their feathers display when the light hits them just right, as well as examples exhibiting the broad beak for which they are named.

Equiment
Nikon D7100 camera with the AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm prime lens.
