COVID19 superspreading events have been reported around the world, happening in bars and barbecues, gyms and factories, schools, and churches, and even at the White House. In this piece we look at the science of superspreading.

PURPOSE

The stand alone interactive piece which accompanied a news feature was created to inform the readers about stopping the COVID-19 pandemic. The animations that are triggered with each scroll reveal how preventing hot spots along with contact tracing is the key to taking control of this pandemic. The visuals are accompanied by short blurbs of text that describe each figure and animation. It is meant for the lay public and was widely shared on social media to reach maximum viewership.
