The Wellcome Trust invites entries for the Wellcome Photography PrizeCelebrating extraordinary photography and scientific imagery that bring to life the ways health and science influence our lives, communities and futures. Entries are now openOpen to everyone, everywhere. Submit your work by 21 October 2026 for the chance to win up to £10,000. The biennial prize brings together photography and scientific imaging to showcase work from different cultures, communities and disciplines.
We're looking for compelling images that explore urgent health challenges and scientific discovery – from mental health, infectious disease and climate change to the fundamental research that expands our understanding of life, health and wellbeing. We welcome work that sparks curiosity, offers fresh perspectives and starts important conversations. When Silas Burroughs died in 1895, Henry Wellcome continued to run the company. During his lifetime, Henry Wellcome worked to advance knowledge of human health and diseases and when he died in 1936, he asked in his will for a trust to be set up. |
